The original text
Alexander Strachan later wrote an Afrikaans novel Kloof based on the play Hartebees. It was published by Protea Boekehuis in 2003.

Performance history in South Africa
Premiéred on the Fringe at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) in 2000, directed by Ben Kruger and featuring Ben Kruger, Gigi (Perlé van Schalkwyk), Dirk Stoltz, Iain Paton and Natasha Soundiades.
