His first play was Hartebees, first performed at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) in 2000, directed by Ben Kruger. It was published in revised form as Kloof by Protea Boekehuis in 2003.
Awards, etc.
His many short stories, novellas and novels have won him numerous awards over the years.
