Lunch by British playwright Steven Berkoff (1937-). Two people meet on a bench in a park near the sea. It could be anywhere. the man sells space in one of those cheap magazines that nobody has ever heard of. Through their mutual catharsis the man learns how easy it is to be honest and reveal himself.
Performance history in South Africa
1997: Presented by the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department as one of three plays (with Lunch Girls and The Duck Variations) celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Space Theatre in the Keller Theatre, H.B. Thom Theatre complex, in May 1997. Directed by Jaco Bouwer with Paul van Wyk as the man, Stephanie Hough as the woman. Albert Snyman was the stage manager, decor and props by Rosa Louw.
