FISH, Colin. (19**-2006) Actor and radio producer. Played the role of “Mother” in the Sonovision radio version of ''The Avengers''. It is also believed that he may well have directed the unbroadcast pilots for the series, made at AFS Studios. Among his directing credits were the Sonovision drama series, ''Squad Cars'', and a radio play with visiting diva, [[Marlene Dietrich]]. Worked for the South African Broadcasting Corporation ([[SABC]]) for many years as the Senior Drama Producer for the English Service. Stage work includes working with [[Leon Gluckman]] to present Sir Donald and Lady Wolfit (the actress [[Rosalind Iden]]) at the [[Playhouse]] in an evening of Shakespeare in 1962. Biography

Colin Fish died in 2006 after a long illness.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Played the role of “Mother” in the Sonovision radio version of The Avengers. It is also believed that he may well have directed the unbroadcast pilots for the series, made at AFS Studios. Among his directing credits were the Sonovision drama series, Squad Cars, and a radio play with visiting diva, Marlene Dietrich. Worked for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for many years as the Senior Drama Producer for the English Service.

Stage work includes working with Leon Gluckman to present Sir Donald and Lady Wolfit (the actress Rosalind Iden) at the Playhouse in an evening of Shakespeare in 1962, as well as Ibsen's The Master Builder.

He appeared on stage in The Affair (1963), Not Now, Darling (1968) and Everything in the Garden. The latter was also produced and directed by him.
