Lend Me a Tenor is a comedy by American playwright Ken Ludwig [1]. The play takes place in 1934, in a hotel suite in Cleveland, Ohio.

The play was produced on both the West End (1986) and Broadway (1989).

Presented by Pieter Toerien, opening 4 November 1990 at the Alhambra Theatre starring David Dennis (Max), Tobie Cronjé (Tito Merelli), Rex Garner (Saunders), Suanne Braun (Maggie), Gilda Blacher (Maria), Steve Breger (Bellhop), Clare Marshall (Julia) and Denise Stock (Diana). Directed by Rex Garner with the assistance of Tammy Bonell. Lighting by Jannie Swanepoel, set by Kay Page, costumes designed by Margo Fleisch. Tbis production subsequently moved to the Theatre on the Bay.
