An incomplete copy of a typed playtext of the play was found in the Stellenbosch Drama Department archives in 2022. A handwritten note on the script suggests it may also have been referred to or performed as Wie de drommel is Johnny P. Adams en waarom sing hy die Blues? on occasion.
