The text
This is a translation of the Primo intermezzo section of Pirandello's play Questa sera si recita a soggetto, known in English as Tonight We Improvise!, and translated into Afrikaans by an unnamed author (though highly likely to have been Benoni de Haeck).
A copy of the typed text found in the archives of the Stellenbosch Drama Department and held in the Performing Arts Research Collection (PARC) at the Africa Open Institute for Music, Research and Innovation, Stellenbosch.
Performances
circa 1984: Performed in Afrikaans by students at the University of Stellenbosch and/or members of the Breughel Teater, directed by Ben Dehaeck.
