Written in 1964, first published by Samuel French in 1966.

Performance history in South Africa

1970: Presented by CAPAB's Theatre for Youth at the Little Theatre in March, directed by Limpie Basson.

1975: A production by Dennis Schauffer was staged in the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, Great Hall.

1976: Presented by Wits Drama Department at the Nunnery, directed by Aart de Villiers.
