The Slab Boys

The Slab Boys is one of a set of three plays, The Slab Boys Trilogy, the other two being Cuttin' a Rug, and Still Life by Scottish playwright and artist John Byrne [1] (born 1940). The trilogy was originally known as Paisley Patterns.

Staged at The Space (Cape Town) in 1979, directed by Brian Astbury with Richard Carter, Carlos da Silva, Ron Fenton, Errol Hart, Hilary Jones, Michael O'Brien, Iris Shelton and Sean Taylor. Design by Vivienne Cartwright, lighting by Nicholas Fine and stage management by Shauna Johnson.
