The original text
Written as a multi-media one-man piece, based on the life of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh ot is a dramatic interpretation of Van Gogh’s letters and paintings.

1979: First performed by Christopher Consani at Johannesburg Art Gallery, directed by Norman Coombes, with visuals provided by Phil Feitelberg and stage technician Marilyn Goss.
1979: Performed to acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival.
1980: Performed at the Market Theatre, directed by Norman Coombes with Chris Consani. Production photographs by Ruphin Coudyzer
1980?: Performed at the Nico Malan Theatre, for CAPAB, directed by Norman Coombes.
1981: Performed in New York.
