Robin van Wyk (?-) is a dancer and teacher.

Training

He studied at the University of Cape Town School of Dance with Dudley Thomlinson and Elizabeth Triegaardt where he received his Solo Seal.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Robin van Wyk is the Artistic Director of Cape Town City Ballet. He joined NAPAC Dance Company in 1990 and then PACT Ballet in 1991 where he quickly moved through the ranks to Senior Soloist. In 1997 he moved to CAPAB Ballet (now known as Cape Town City Ballet), was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2000 and had several roles created on him by Veronica Paeper.

In 2001 Robin joined the Musical Theatre Business and was cast as Mister Mistofelees in Cats, traveling to 11 countries with the world tour.

He teaches ballet at LAMTA. ​
