One for the Pot is a farce in three acts by Ray Cooney (1932- ) [1] and Tony Hilton.

It was first staged at the Whitehall Theatre in London on 2 August 1961 where it ran for three-and-a-half years.

Performance history in South Africa

1967: Hymie Udwin, Yango John and Dave Levin of the Academy Theatre imported Colin Welland and Basil Lord to star in a production of this play, directed by Lord. The cast: Patricia Sanders (Amy), Barbara Kinghorn (Cynthia), Louis Ife (Jugg), Frank Douglass (Jonathan), Keith Cornelis (Clifton), Gordon Wales (Arnold), Basil Lord (Charlie), Charles Vernon (Hickory), Valerie Dunlop (Winnie, Liander Martin (Guest 1) and David McBirnie (Guest 2).

1985: Directed by Rex Garner for Pieter Toerien, performed at the Alhambra Theatre Downstairs and the Baxter Theatre. The cast: Patricia Sanders, Anne Power, George Korelin, Rex Garner, Errol Hart, Timothy Welsh, Tim Plewman, Tobie Cronje, Suzie Gehr.
