The Virgin Goddess
The Virgin Goddess is a film by Dirk de Villiers (1924-2009) and Víctor Bó (1943-)[1].
Best known by its Spanish title: La diosa virgen .
The film
When a shipwrecked woman (Sarli) is found on a beach, an African tribe mistakes her for a goddess.
Written and directed by Dirk de Villiers, with a cast that included Isabel Sarli (1929-2019)[2] (as the "Virgin Goddess"), Víctor Bó (as "Mark), Ken Gampu, Jimmy Sabe, Gabriel Bayman, Dirk de Villiers, Armando Bo (1914–1981)[3], James Ryan (as Jeff du Preez), Sandra Senne and Paddy Norval. English voice overs by Joe Stewardson and James White (both uncredited).
The film was shot in English in Natal, South Africa and in Argentina, by Bevil Films in association with Columbia Pictures, co-produced by Dirk de Villiers and Armando Bo.
The film distributed by Columbia Pictures in 1973-1974.
