La Duma (or in some sources, Luduma) [“thunder”] is a ‘Township Musical’ by Gibson Kente (1932-2004) about the conflict between a policeman and his activist son, and the fragmentation of African communities.
Performace history in South Africa
First produced 1978, with Darlington Michaels in the cast.
