Joel Herholdt

Joel Herholdt (1918-1984) was an occasional actor on stage and in film. Sometimes incorrectly credited as Joel Heroldt.

Biography

Joel Daniel Herholdt was born in Heilbron on 27 June 1918 in what then the Orange Free State to another Joel Daniel Herholdt and his wife, Johanna Elizabeth Muller. He was not a full-time actor and, in fact, when he married Eugenie Virgo (Dodo) Steyn de Beer in 1947 his profession was given as businessman. During World War II he travelled to the Middle East and Italy as a member of an entertainment unit and afterwards made occasional appearances on stage and in films. He died on 13 September 1984.
