Joburg Theatre Complex is an arts complex housing four theatres in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Formerly the Johannesburg Civic Theatre, renamed in 2009. For information pre-2009, see Johannesburg Civic Theatre.

Often referred to Joburg Theatre.

Management

In July 2013 Xoliswa Nduneni Ngema, an experienced South African theatre practitioner, was appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

In 2014 the City of Johannesburg, as part of its ongoing Institutional Review, resolved that the two civic theatres, the Joburg Theatre and Roodepoort Theatre be integrated into a single theatre management company, Joburg City Theatres (JCT), to manage the functions and services of the two theatres. In 2014 the JCT would also take over management of the newly established Soweto Theatre.

Godfrey Katsana was appointed as chairman of the Board of Directors in March 2023.
