Poultney wrote and directed A Journey to the Land of Imagination (1982), Maya the Bee (co-written with Dennis Schauffer, 1985), Beatrix Potter at Christmas (1985), Sizzy Wizzy (1985), The Chicken and the Egg (1987), Jemima Puddleduck Outfoxes Mr Fox (1987), The First Christmas (1987).
She also co-wrote Beatrix Potter and Friends (1984), Maya the Bee (1985) and The Further Adventures of Jemima Puddleduck (with Dennis Schauffer, 1986)
She directed The Lonely Toy Maker (1982), Skungpoomery (1983).
