Fortunately is a physical theatre and mime two-hander by Sylvaine Strike and Brian Webber.

The original text
Devised and originally performed by the authors in 2001, the piece is set on a bench in a park near the seaside, in a space ravaged by war, where a gorilla meets a woman and her goldfish. They fall in love.

Performance history in South Africa
2001: First staged by the Fortune Cookie Theatre Company in the Wits Theatre Complex, directed by James Cunningham and Helen Iskander, with Sylvaine Strike (Olympia) and Brian Webber (Debonair). Choreography by Raymond Theart.
2002: The same production with Strike and Webber, directed by Cunningham and Iskander, was staged in the Barney Simon Theatre at the Market Theatre.
2003: Directed: James Cuningham and Helen Iskander. Cast : Sylvaine Strike, Brian Webber at the Market Theatre.
