Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Formerly a dancer with PACT Ballet, he was one of the founding members and also CEO of South African Ballet Theatre in 2001. In 2006, Badenhorst left the company to explore new ventures, including the establishment of a small dance company, Mzansi Productions. Mzansi Productions subsequently merged with SABT in 2012, forming South African Mzansi Ballet. It was renamed Joburg Theatre in 2013. Badenhorst left Joburg Ballet in 2016.
