Die Seepsteenbataljon ("The soap-stone batallion") is the title of a radio serial (1972), a television serial (1978) and a published novelization (1978), all written by Kobus Louw.

Die Seepsteenbataljon - The radio series

A series of vignettes about the interrelated lives a group people living on the fourth floor of Queen's Court. Written by Kobus Louw, it was broadcast by the SABC from June 1972.

Die Seepsteen-bataljon - The television series

The radio series was adapted for television and broadcast as Die Seepsteen-bataljon by the SABC in 1978.

Written by Kobus Louw, based on his radio serial of the same name, directed by Fred Nel with a cast that included Francois de Bruyn, Sandra Prinsloo, Kita Redelinghuys, Allan Dyssel, Mees Xteen, Harriet Pienaar, Jacques Bosch, Danie Smuts, Chris Bezuidenhout, Ben Blanckenberg (as Bennie Blanckenberg), Isobel Pienaar (as Isabel Pienaar) and Dawid van der Walt.

Music by Bennie Bierman, cinematography by Stewart A. Farnell and Neil Forsyth, vision mix by Peter Bode, and edited by Niel Rossouw
