He made his debut as actor for JAATS and subsequently worked for NTO, PACT and CAPAB. He had roles in several films.

On stage he has appeared in Die Jaar van die Vuuros (NTO 1952), Die Ryk Weduwee (NTO 1953), Germanicus (NTO 1958), Montserrat (PACT 1963), Twaalfde Nag (PACT 1964), Kom Spook By My 1968, Lappies die Lappiesmous (CAPAB 1968), Die Idioot by Dostoyevsky, directed by Jo Gevers for CAPAB 1969., Hansie die Hanslam (CAPAB 1969), Cyrano de Bergerac (CAPAB 1969), Titus Andronicus (CAPAB 1970).
He had roles in the films Hou die Blink Kant Bo (1960), Voor Sononder (1962) among others.
