Dada en die Flower is a 1986 South African Afrikaans film written and directed by Jan Scholtz.

The film

The film is a love story about six friends who experience their first 'free' holiday in Margate, their first "breakaway", and their first adult love.

The film was released in 1986.

Production team

The film was written, directed and produced by Jan Scholtz. Music was by J.B. Arthur, cinematography by Paul Marais, make-up by Sandra Swanepoel and production management by Bob Riley. In the Sound Department Ronny Belcher was the sound recordist, Mike Berridge took care of the final mix and Max von Below was responsible for sound. Special effects were by Jannie Wienand and Ewen Bogle was the assistant camera. Inge Rall was the costumer. In the Editorial Department Johan Lategan was the music editor while Karen Warnock and Marc Wehner were the assistant editors. Vinca Cox was responsible for continuity. The following additional crew took on roles: David Bakgane (equipment assistant), Ronny Belcher (production assistant), Norman Birch (choreographer), Patrick Masango (equipment assistant), Elsa Pretorius (publicist) and Lynne Wiesner (titles).
