Craig Urbani (1971-). Actor, singer.

Training

Craig studied at the Rhodes University Drama Department in the early 1990s.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student he had a role in The Ghost Sonata.

He starred in Now There's Just the Three of Us (NAF 1991), in Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show in 1992. He alternated the title role in the musical Buddy! The Buddy Holly Story with Terence Reis at the Civic Theatre in 1993. He starred in Janice Honeyman’s production of Hair at the Civic Theatre in 1994.

In 2001 he appeared as "Rooster" in Annie, as the Catholic lawyer in David Mamet's Romance (2006), Billy Flynn in Chicago (2008) and in 2015 he performed in Morecambe.

He was awarded a National Vita Award for his role in Buddy.
