Cleo Raatus is an actor, writer, singer and voice-over artist.

Also known as Cleo Wesley Raatus or Cleo Wesley.

Biography

Completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town in 2015 and made his professional theatre debut in 2016, performing in the Fugard Theatre’s hit musical District Six – Kanala, directed by David Kramer (billed as Cleo Raatus), and The Fall which he co-created.

Theatre

As a performer

Besides a number of roles in student productions, professional appearances include "Desmond" & "Denver" in District Six, Kanala, "Friar Laurence" in Romeo and Juliet, "Prodo" in Scenes from an Execution, and a many others

As a playmaker

Co-writer and co-creator of, and performer in, The Fall (2016).

Film

Roles include appearances in Runs in the Family, Table Mountain (a short film), Nightmare on Long Street,

Television

Besides some appearances, he also conceived and directed a number of projects, including No Where, Hallucinations, and Shook (with Rudi Smit)
