The Spots on my Leopard is a film by Tim Spring.
Also known as Vang vir My 'n Droom (Afrikaans) or Catch me a Dream (alternative English title).
The film
A children’s adventure set in South Africa, the film chronicles the bond between a boy and his cheetah. The two have been pals for a long time, so when the cat is taken and placed in a traveling circus, the boy does all he can to free it.
The cast: Mark Hopley, Karen de Kock, Dale Cutts, Erica Rogers, Bess Finney, Denis Smith, Valerie Dunlop, Delia Sheppard, Johan Swanepoel and Theo Theron.
Produced for Kavalier Films by Ben Vlok, written by C.F. Beyers-Boshoff, directed and edited by Tim Spring, cinematography by Ivo Pellegrini, music by Ina Leuvennink and Inno Leuvennink, continuity by Katinka Hall
Released in Afrikaans (as Vang vir My 'n Droom) and English (as Catch me a Dream) in 1974. Released in the United States as The Spots on My Leopard and in West Germany as Eine wahre Liebeve ("a true love").
