Founded in August 1926 by three young lawyers, H.A. Fagan, Wessel Roux and A.H. Broeksma, in the Afrikaanse Koffiehuis. They performed in the Koffiehuis, as well as the Railway Institute and other venues over the years. Its first play was De Waal's Die Spioen en sy Handlangers ("The Spy and his Associates") in 1927, which they also did in the Eendracht-saal ("Unity Hall") in Salt River and in Porterville.
