Biography

Versatile actor who is equally at home in both serious drama and musical theatre productions, picking up numerous awards along the way. Originally from the Eastern Cape, he settled in Cape Town.

Training

He studied at the University of Cape Town Drama Department.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student played Odet in Bagasie (1996).

A founder member in 1997 of the Arena Theatre Company, for which he has done Noises Off (200*-), Skyf (1998), Pick Ups (1998), Elizabeth (200*-), Lovborg's Women (2011).

Other performances include As You Like It (Maynardville, 1999), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Maynardville, 2003), Play@Risk (200*), Athol Fugard’s Master Harold ... and the boys (1995) and Exits and Entrances (as Fugard, 2005). Musical work includes Fiela's Child - The Musical ((1999) and The Rocky Horror Show (2004).

In 2012 he apeared as Monsieur André in Phantom of the Opera.

He is a member of Not The Midnight Mass.
