(“Bird” – Zulu) by M.B. Khumalo. Translation of an Afrikaans stage play by ???** entitled Nyoni. Deals with a girl's conflict between love and respect for her father who betroths her to an unattractive crippled man to pay off debt, and her love for Debula. Before she can elope she drowns accidentally. Published by Educum in 1986.
