Travelling Shots

Travelling Shots by Paul Slabolepszy is a play made up of seven finely-tuned sketches. The play starts with a revue-type sketch of would-be Aussies and ends with a crisp little lament about the necessity to be anything but South African when one is abroad.

Performance history in South Africa

First performed on 15 June 1988, at the Dalro Theatre, Windybrow, as part of PACT's Pot Pourri Festival.

1988: Staged by PACT in the State Theatre in Pretoria and the Windybrow Theatre in Johannesburg, directed by Paul Slabolepszy, with James Borthwick, Jacqui Singer, Judy Broderick, Stephen Jennings, Christopher Wells, Jonathan Pienaar and Dan Sebogodi.

1989: Presented by the Baxter Theatre and Snap Productions in April in the Baxter Concert Hall, directed by Paul Slabolepszy, featuring Eric Nobbs, Kate Edwards, Judy Broderick, Wayne Robins, Jonathan Pienaar and Samson Khumalo. Lighting by Sydney Jansen.
