Theatre on the Square is a theatre venue in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The full name of the theatre was originally the Old Mutual Theatre on the Square, later changed to the Auto & General Theatre on the Square and then again to Liberty Theatre on the Square , as the sponsors changed.

It is a 200-seater theatre in Nelson Mandela Square (formerly Sandton Square) in Sandton, founded in 1998 and managed by Daphne Kuhn.

Over 450 productions - including plays, musicals, lunch hour and children's theatre had been presented by 2012, in addition to numerous corporate events, concerts, industrial theatre and a regular youth theatre training programme in the performing arts.
