Original script by Reza de Wet. The Unspeakable Story is a documentary danceplay written in six scenes: The Mirror, The House, The River, The Funeral, The Dream, The Cycle. The work is based on an experience in teh life of the surrealist painter René Magritte. Original score created by Leonhard Praeg. Conceived and choreographed by Gary Gordon.

Performance history in South Africa

Performed by the First Physical Theatre Company in 1996 at the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, the cast including Andrew Buckland, Athena Fatseas, Ilona Frege, Juanita Finestone-Praeg, Nathalie Gmür, Craig Morris, Lanon Prigge, Samantha Pienaar.

FNB Award 1996 for original contemporary chreography and dance.
