The Lawyer in the Sack, or Jack's Return!!! was a "Ballet Dance" (or "ballet with dancing"), possibly devised by H. Booth and performed in Cape Town.

The original text

Possibly devised by H. Booth during his stay in Cape Town, though Bosman does not count it as a South African work but one brought from England. He also suggests that it this may have been a follow up piece to the "new Ballet Dance" called Jack at the Cape, or All Alive Among the Hottentots!, which was first performed in Cape Town by All the World's a Stage on 7th January.
