A comedy by René Fauchois (Prenez garde à la peinture, 1932). It exists in two English versions: an American adaptation by Sidney Howard (1932) and an UK version by Emlyn Williams (1933). The London production of William's version starred Edith Evans and Cedric Hardwicke.

Performance history of the Williams version in South Africa

1936: Presented in March by the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society at the Little Theatre, directed by Jack Bligh

1942: The version by Emlyn Williams was performed by the Johannesburg Repertory Society, 1942.

1946: Performed by an amateur group in Camps Bay, led by Mary Fenton. The play was directed by a visiting British sailor, with Mary Fenton in the lead and a 17 year old Nigel Hawthorne in the cast.

Produced by the Brian Brooke Company, date and venue unknown.
