The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-moon Marigolds [1] (1964) by American playwright, children's novelist, and educator Paul Zindel [2] (1936-2003). The play revolves around the dysfunctional family consisting of single mother Beatrice and her two daughters, Ruth and Tillie, who try to cope with their abysmal status in life.

Presented by PACT Drama in September 1971, produced by Leonard Schach, starring Marjorie Gordon, Janice Honeyman, Kerry Arnell, Wilma Stockenström, Elizabeth Rae. Decor by Richard Cook.
Presented by PACOFS in 1974, directed by Ernst Eloff, starring Elize Cawood and Annelize van der Ryst.
