The Colony was a performance venue and nightclub situated in the Hyde Park Hotel, Johannesburg.

Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance

1962: Leon Gluckman’s revue, Wait a Minim! was first staged here with musicians Andrew Tracey and Paul Tracey, Kendrew Lascelles and Jeremy Taylor. Anthony Farmer was the set designer. They toured the country for eleven months,
