Teddy Davies (19**-2024). Director.

Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Over several decades, Teddy directed a large number of musicals and operettas for the amateur theatre communities in Cape Town. These include:

1981: A Song For You for Festival Players.

1982: Archy and Mehitabel for Festival Players.

1984: Grease for Camps Bay Operatic and Dramatic Society.

1984: H.M.S. Pinafore for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1985: Ruddigore for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1986: The Mikado for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1987: Iolanthe for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1989: The Gondoliers for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1991: The Pirates of Penzance

1993: Patience for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1995: West Side Story for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1997: The Yeomen of the Guard for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1999: Chicago for Festival Players.

2000: Fiddler on the Roof for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

2002: Carousel for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

2004: Annie Get Your Gun for Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
