Stageworld Theatre School is an independent training school in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth). Its courses seek to serve the Art of Performing and the requirements of the entertainment industry. The school opened in January 1998 and its full-time courses commenced on the 1st February 1999. The training neither seeks to teach skills superficially, nor to deconstruct the individual in order to build a Stageworld product. Rather, the aim is to encourage and develop talents innate in each student. Stageworld was founded by Marlene Pieterse who is also the principal.
