Performance history in South Africa

1863: Performed in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, during March by a company consisting of J.F. Finlayson, Mr Bowmer and Madame Bowmer, The Bowmers portraying a range of transformation roles in the piece. Also performed was a selection from Il Trovatore ("with Scenery, Chorus and Effects").
