Ralston Oliphant (1983-) is a freelance actor.

Biography

Born on 11 November 1983, he studied at the Stellenbosch University Drama Department in the early 2000s, completing his M.Dram degree in 2004.

Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance

At university he performed in productions of The Kentucky Cycle and My Plaas se Naam is Vergenoeg.

He also wrote two one-act plays, Hy Is Ons Herder and Vanweë die Gedagte as exercises for the playwriting module in the Drama Department.

After university he became a freelance actor and voice-over artist, and was an actor at the Africa Centre for Hiv/Aids Management in Cape Town.

Besides roles in a range of commercials, he played the "Mourner" in 2014 Homeland (season 4: 2014), and a "Palace Guard" in Of Kings and Prophets (2015-2016).
