Nagspel is the title of a television drama by Chris Barnard.

Also found as stage version.

The TV drama

Written in 1976, it was filmed for the SABC by director Stephan Bouwer, with Marius Weyers, Katinka Heyns and Paul Eilers and broadcast on 20 March 1978.

The text published in the volume Piet-my-vrou en Nagspel (Tafelberg, 1982).


The stage version

The TV script was adapted for the stage by Peet van Rensburg in 1997.

Performances

1997: Presented by Noordwes Produksies in collaboration with DALRO at the KKNK, 1997. Directed by Peet van Rensburg, starring Wim Beukes, Leon Cloete, Deirdre Venter.

2000: The 1997 production by Noordwes Produksies was performed once again, this time at the Aardklop festival.
