WILLSON, Megan (19**-) Actress, director, writer.

Biography

Megan is married to actor Martin le Maitre.

Training

Graduated from the Witwatersrand University with a BA Dram (Hons) in 1988.


Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She directed the Wits Kampustoneel entry Die Eend. She directed Die Eend for TRUK, 1993, Don Gxubane Onner die Boere in 1994, Macbeth 1998, Crashing the Night 2000, For Better for Wors for the Kultcha Klub One Night stand Festival, Play@Risk 2001.

She acted in The Threepenny Opera as a student in 1987, The Crucible 1996, The Winter's Tale 1997, Simpatico, Antony and Cleopatra.

Awards, etc

She received the Johannesburg Repertory Players award twice during her student years. She won a Loerie Gold for her direction on the AIDS play Secrets and Lies.
