Trained at the Drama Department, University of Natal (Durban), and was among the five performers who started the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre Company. Also comprising Celeste Litkie, Brenda Radloff, Melanie Bowles and Themi Venturas, the company was created at the same time as NAPAC's Loft Theatre Company.

He had roles in A Tale of Two Cities (1984),
