Lovedale Press (or the Lovedale Institution Press) was a publishing house set up in the Lovedale Mission Station in the early 20th century.

The press published numerous works in English, isiXhosa and other African languages in the first half of the 20th century, and was instrumental in launching the careers of a number of prominent black writers and creating a body of literary writing in isiXhosa and other African languages.

The director was R.W.H. Shepherd (19**-19**).

Among the plays published by the press were H.I.E. Dhlomo’s The Girl Who Killed to Save (1935/6), Iziganeko ZomKristu by E.W. Oules (n.d.), Zangen’iinkomo by M.L. Mbidlana (1954), Bhut’Lizo ndixolele by N. Mbekeni & P.M. Ntloko (1979), .
