Lourens Odendaal (19**-). Radio and stage actor.

Also credited as Lou Odendaal on occasion

Not to be confused with academic, director and performer Louw Odendaal.

Biography

Lourens was born in Durban.

Training

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

In 1961-2 he performed in Xander Haagen’s Aandster Ver and in Opsitkers en Vonkelwyn. He had a role in Spel. In 1964 he appeared in Twaalfde Nag as the priest.

On television he appeared in Die Nagloper (credited as Lou Odendaal, 1976) and had a role in Elmo de Witt's film Iemand Soos Jy (1978).
