Louise Barnes (1974- ) [1] is a South African actress and voice artist.

Biography

Born in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Married to South African actor Nick Boraine.

Training

Graduated at the University of the Witwatersrand with an Honours Degree in Dramatic Art.

Career

Has starred in numerous South African produced films and television series including Egoli: Place of Gold, Sewende Laan, Binnelanders, Scandal!, Sorted, Suburban Bliss, S.O.S. and the South African/Canadian co-production Jozi-H. Also appears in the 2014 American television series Black Sails.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Theatre roles include: Life x 3 (Sonja); Fanie’s Angel (Tish); Kindertransport (Faith); Beautiful Bodies (Clair); Heresy (Frances); Isabella (Melisa).

Feature film roles include: Karen in Borderline (2002); Celia in Hoodlun & Son (2003); Laura in Critical Assignment (2004); Rachel in Surviving Evil (2009).
