Lorraine Bellamy (19**-). Stage manager, poet, playwright.

Training

Lorraine studied at the Rhodes University Drama Department.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She played the name role in The Diary of Iris Vaughan in 1969 and had a role in a 1983 Rhodes University production of Electra by Euripides, diected by Francois Swart.

Worked with CAPAB English Drama Company from 1971. In this capacity she stage managed a number of productions for them at Maynardville, including Measure for Measure (1987), The Taming of the Shrew (1984), Romeo and Juliet (1988); Much Ado about Nothing (1990); The Tempest (1994), The Merchant of Venice (1992). Stage director for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1990).
