Leonce und Lena ("Leonce and Lena") is a German play by Georg Büchner ()[].

The original text

The play was written in German with the title Leonce und Lena. It was first performed in Munich in 1895 by an amateur group.

Performance history in South Africa

1986: Die Opstand van die Narre was presented by TRUK Toneel at the Momentum Theatre, Pretoria, directed by Dieter Reible, starring Louis van Niekerk, Frans Kalp, Charlotte Butler, Eric Nobbs, Ilse van Hemert, Cas van Rensburg, Gert van Niekerk, Peter Terry, Percy Pretorius, Ronel Kriel, Cas van Rensburg. Design, lighting and costumes by James MacNamara.
