KOZA, Leonard. (19*-) Playwright, poet and author of short stories, utilizing both Afrikaans and English in his work. A public relations officer with an insurance company, he became involved in theatre in the mid 1970s in Elsiesrivier, where he worked with Willie Adams, founding Township Life, an amateur theatre group, together in 1983. Author of plays of protest about social, political and economic evils of the time. These include Township-kleigoed (lit. "Township clay things = "Township children"?* -19*), Distrik Ses (19*), Township-worries (19*), Thoko en Bonsi (19*), Thandiwe (19*), ** (See Smith, 1990, January, 1997)
