Langs die Steiltes ("along the precipices") is an an Afrikaans play by Gerhard J. Beukes (1913 - 1998).

The original text
Full title: Langs die steiltes: hoogtepunte uit ons driehonderdjarige volkswording. ("Along the precipices: highlights from our three hundred years of existence".) Written for the Van Riebeeck Festival, first performed in 1953.
Published in Cape Town by Nasionale Boekhandel in 1952, reprinted 1959.
