L'Avare by Molière (1668). Translated into English as The Miser, it was first done in South Africa by** in 19*? Done as The Miser by Joan Brickhill and Louis Burke for PACT in 1964, with Siegfried Mynhardt, it ran for twenty weeks. Translated into Afrikaans as Die Vrek by A.F.H. van Dijk, it was first produced by NTO in 1951, directed by Suzanne van Wyk, with Siegfried Mynhardt in the lead role and Anna Cloete as Frosine, playing for 206 nights. The cast also included Michal Grobbelaar, Gert van den Berg and Dulsie Smit.


Done in Windhoek by SWAPAC in 19**.
